TTI is seeking a Financial Services & Fintech Lawyer for one of our top clients. A well-established professional services firm in Malta, known for its expertise in legal, corporate, and financial advisory, is currently expanding its team and seeking talented professionals to join their growing operation.
Tasks
- Develop, lead, and grow the firm’s Fintech practice
- Advise clients on legal and regulatory matters related to fintech, digital assets, crypto-assets, and emerging technologies
- Advise on MiCA, CASP licensing and registration, issuance and offering of crypto-assets, stablecoins, e-money tokens, digital wallets, exchanges, tokenisation, and blockchain infrastructures
- Structure and support the launch of fintech and digital asset projects within the EU regulatory framework
- Advise EMIs, PSPs, and CASPs on MFSA licensing, regulatory compliance, prudential requirements, outsourcing arrangements, governance, and ongoing supervisory obligations
- Draft and review regulatory documentation, manuals, policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Act as the main point of contact for clients operating in fintech, crypto, virtual assets, and regulated financial services
- Support and grow the firm’s fintech client base
- Participate in conferences, regulatory consultations, and industry initiatives
- Contribute to thought leadership through articles, seminars, webinars, guidance notes, and market updates
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer or senior practitioner with experience in financial services and fintech
- Strong knowledge of Maltese and EU financial services legislation
- Familiarity with MiCA, DORA, PSD2/PSD3, EMD, MiFID II, and related frameworks
- Experience liaising with regulatory bodies, particularly the MFSA and FIAU
- Experience advising on fintech, crypto-assets, digital assets, or regulated financial services matters
- Strong analytical, drafting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team
- Strong commercial awareness and client-facing confidence
- Proactive mindset with an interest in technological and financial innovation
- Ability to support business development and contribute to the growth of the fintech practice
Gehalt
€35,000 – €50,000 gross per year, depending on experience.
