TTI is seeking a Tax Officer for one of our top clients. Our client is a well-established Maltese firm offering a comprehensive range of corporate, trust, and investment services. With decades of experience and a strong regulatory foundation, the company is known for delivering tailored financial solutions to both private and institutional clients.
Tasks
- Prepare and review tax returns, VAT filings, and related submissions
- Assist with tax computations, provisions, and audit support
- Ensure compliance with tax deadlines and maintain a tax calendar
- Support transfer pricing, economic substance, and documentation requirements
- Advise clients and internal teams on tax changes and issues
- Respond to client tax/VAT queries professionally
- Assist with client onboarding, including KYC, registrations, and compliance checks
- Liaise with tax authorities on audits, queries, and assessments
- Support the Head of Tax with regulatory responses and policy updates
- Contribute to process improvements and internal documentation
- Stay updated on Maltese and international tax developments
- Participate in training and pursue relevant professional qualifications
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy, Taxation, Law, or related field
- MIT Taxation award preferred
- Experience in tax compliance or accounting
- Knowledge of Maltese tax and VAT rules; international tax knowledge is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and client service skills
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage deadlines
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Proficient in MS Office and familiar with accounting/tax software
Gehalt
€50,000 – €52,000 gross per year, depending on experience.
