Risk Officer (m/f/o)

Tasks

•  
• Analyse and assess risks across the company’s functions and advise internally on risk mitigation techniques
  
• Assist in the contribution of the ongoing development and delivery of the risk management strategy as well as assist with the maintenance of the Risk Appetite framework for the company
  
• Review current trends and provide actions to mitigate risk
  
• Maintain the Company’s Risk Register
  
• Drafting policies and procedures for review and approval as required
  
• Attend the Risk Committee as an active member
  
• Prepare quarterly board reports outlining the work done on Risk to the Board
  
• Attending the Board Meetings to present the Risk Report to the Board
  
• Maintain the Risk Management and Capital Adequacy controls as well as frequently perform Liquidity and Stress Testing
  
• Compile and maintain the Company’s Risk Appetite
  
• Be present for any MFSA Audits to respond on how the company maintains the Risk Register and develops and implements the methodology for Risk oversight
  Conduct Risk Assessments on prospective Critical Suppliers and Outsourcing arrangements whilst performing ongoing monitoring on existing relationships

Requirements

• 
  
• Fluent in speaking and writing in English
  
• A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
  
• Relevant University degree. Post-graduate degrees will be considered an asset
  
• Ability to work under pressure and meet agreed deadlines
  
• A good team player, capable of leading a fast-paced pressured environment maintaining accuracy and quality
  
• Able to deal efficiently with different internal departments and external counterparts
  
• Have a strong attention to detail
