TTI is seeking a MLRO for one of our top clients. Our client is a well-established Maltese firm offering a comprehensive range of corporate, trust, and investment services. With decades of experience and a strong regulatory foundation, the company is known for delivering tailored financial solutions to both private and institutional clients.
Tasks
- Act as the designated MLRO and oversee the company’s AML/CFT framework
- Review and approve client onboarding, including CDD, EDD, and risk assessments
- Monitor transactions and investigate suspicious activity, including the submission of SARs
- Maintain risk assessments and complete the annual Risk Evaluation Questionnaire
- Act as the main point of contact with the MFSA and FIAU
- Prepare AML/CFT reports for Senior Management and the Board of Directors
- Support regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance reviews
- Provide AML/CFT guidance and training to staff
- Monitor regulatory developments and update internal policies accordingly
- Assist with other compliance and governance matters as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field
- PQP status recognised by the MFSA
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an MLRO or senior AML/CFT role
- Strong knowledge of MFSA regulations, FIAU Implementing Procedures, and Maltese AML/CFT legislation
- Experience within corporate services, financial services, or another regulated environment
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and risk assessment skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with regulators and senior stakeholders
- High level of integrity, independence, and professional judgement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with AML/compliance systems
Gehalt
