TTI is seeking for a KYC Analyst for one of our top clients. Our client is a leading entity in Accountancy, Assurance and Advisory Services and is based in Malta.
Tasks
- Perform document checks as part of client due diligence and onboarding
- Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) checks, ensuring client records are complete and accurate
- Identify and verify Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs), controllers, authorised signatories and related parties, including tracing multilayered ownership structures
- Act as the first line of defence in detecting potential money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and other financial crime risks during onboarding and periodic reviews
- Conduct and document sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening, assess potential matches and record decisions with clear justification
- Identify unusual or suspicious activity and escalate it to the Designated Employee as required
- Support the preparation of internal reports and Suspicious Transaction or Activity Reports (STRs/SARs), where appropriate
- Periodically review client files to ensure continued compliance with applicable requirements
- Liaise with clients to request documentation, declarations and clarifications in a clear and professional manner
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date and properly indexed KYC files in accordance with internal policies, PMLFTR and sector-specific regulations
- Organise documentation using an orderly and consistent filing system
- Assist and support the Designated Employee as requested
- Stay informed about relevant AML/CFT, GDPR and industry-specific regulatory requirements
- Carry out other related or ad hoc duties assigned by the Director or another authorised person, in line with the scope of the position
Requirements
- Previous experience in a compliance, legal or financial services environment is preferred
- Familiarity with AML/CFT regulatory frameworks and KYC processes
- A compliance-related qualification or certification is considered an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Critical-thinking skills and the ability to assess information objectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Gehalt
Up to €35,000 gross per year, depending on experience.
