Direct Tax Compliance Specialist (m/f/o)

Tasks

• Lead and grow the corporate direct tax service line
  
  
  
• Define and implement the tax strategy in line with the firm’s objectives
  
  
  
• Provide tax advice on corporate structuring, reorganisations, M&A, and cross-border transactions
  
  
  
• Oversee corporate tax compliance, including returns, reporting, and statutory filings
  
  
  
• Advise on transfer pricing, OECD BEPS, Pillar 2, CRS, FATCA, and related frameworks
  
  
  
• Act as the main tax contact for key clients
  
  
  
• Develop tax policies, procedures, risk frameworks, and best practices
  
  
  
• Build strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities
  
  
  
• Collaborate with other service lines to cross-sell tax services
  
  
  
• Lead, mentor, and develop the tax team

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Law, Taxation, or equivalent qualification
  
  
  
• Extensive experience in direct tax advisory, compliance, and planning
  
  
  
• Previous experience in professional services or financial services
  
  
  
• Strong knowledge of Maltese tax legislation and international tax frameworks
  
  
  
• Experience with corporate structuring, transfer pricing, and regulatory reporting
  
  
  
• Strong leadership and people management skills
  
  
  
• Excellent client relationship and business development skills
  
  
  
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  
  
  
• High level of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment
  
  
  
• Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines
